Aquatics Carnival March 9th 2017
After troublesome transport delays the Newcastle minibus keen with swimmers arrived at Lane Cove Aquatics center to meet with over 300 students from 4 Steiner schools. Lads were quick into their costumes to not miss a heat and were soon off to a flying start!
There were few leads so strong as that flying fish lanky girl 'thea lonely out in front within four strokes,..... everyone participating with a smile and some pretty keen competition all in all. When it came to Senior Students seems the two of our lean lads shared the firsts equally, then the final race saw our teacher imitating a propellor-less submarine in the backstroke leg before a sputtering recovery for the drive back up the M1. No racing on the way home, but safe, all safe and sound, and early back.
