Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,
We hope you can join us for our Advent Gift Making Festival on Saturday 30th November from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. It will be a day of creating and sharing.
As there will be no exchange of money, we would appreciate your help in collecting supplies for our gift making workshops. We will again be making gifts representing the four kingdoms – mineral, plant, animal and human.

Please bring donations to the office of:
  • Coloured felt (not synthetic) and wool fleece (to make felt animals)
  • Coloured embroidery thread and Embroidery needles
  • Ribbons and bells to decorate
  • Sharp scissors
Christmas puddings
You can give any pudding ingredients to Troy, Craig or Zsofia at the office
  • Flour
  • Brown sugar
  • Mixed fruit (raisins, cherries etc.)
  • Slivered almonds
  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • String for hanging puddings
Candle Making
Please bring donations to the office of:
  • Empty oil or juice cans which are at least 20cm high (for candle dipping)
  • Bees Wax for Candles (e.g. ends of candles)
CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Also, we will be sharing some favourite Christmas carols: Do you hear what I hear? The Four Kingdoms; Whence comes this Rush of Wings?; and Good King Wenceslas.
If you would like to learn the tunes or words of the songs beforehand, please ask for copies at the office.
For the festival please bring a plate of wholesome morning tea (sweet or savoury) to share at the festival, along with plates and cups for your family. You could also bring your own scissors. Kindies, Tracey’s, Joel’s class families could bring a sweet platter or a fruit platter, Emma/Samantha, Sally and Jo’s and High School class families could bring a savoury dish.
Small children will need a guardian helping them with the activities. Don’t forget to wear appropriate clothing, such as covered shoes.
We will inform you of the day’s timetable closer to the event and due to the positive feedback on last year’s organisation into class ‘stations’ we will use a similar structure
