Casual Support Worker- Teachers Aide
We are currently seeking a motivated, empathetic and committed individual to provide the highest quality person centered active support on a casual basis. You will have a genuine interest to assist individuals in the school, supporting their personal growth in a number of areas including lifelong learning, leisure, self-care and health and wellbeing, meal preparation and domestic assistance, whilst supporting positive interpersonal, social and community relationships supporting individuals to achieve personal fulfillment.
We are accepting applications from flexible, interested, reliable and resilient candidates, who are passionate, willing and able to mentor, inspire and support individuals.
Candidates will need to be available to work school hours.
Mandatory Requirements: Working with Children Check Current First Aid Certificate

Helpful Qualities:
Training in learning support or in disability support such as Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma in Disabilities. Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module

​Interest in Waldorf Pedagogy
Skills and Experience Previous experience supporting children with a diverse range of needs including challenging behavior and complex medical and health needs. Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills with the capacity to build and maintain effective and positive working relationships. An in depth understanding and commitment to a person centered active support work ethic. Well organized with an ability to be of service, listen, and plan and coordinate individual support. Demonstrated computer proficiency and word processing skills. High School Teacher - Geography.

We are seeking expressions of interest from a youthful, energetic High School Teacher to compliment our experienced High School staff on a part time basis. A recent teaching graduate specialising in geography and having a strong connection with Steiner Education would be ideal, but we are open to other expressions of interest as well, especially those with strong connections to Steiner education.

Class 1 Teacher 2021

Newcastle Waldorf School is looking for a full time Class 1 Teacher commencing in 2021. Ideally this teacher would have training or experience teaching in a Steiner School  and a willingness to embark on a 7 year journey that takes the class through to High School. This teacher would take Class 1 in 2021, but would be welcome in the school during this year in another capacity. Applicants would need to secure NESA approval to teach in NSW by 2021 and a current Working With Children Check.

SHORT TERM WALDORF SCIENCE TEACHER FULL-TIME

Newcastle Waldorf School is urgently seeking a motivated and engaging science teacher to cover for a teacher who is currently on leave.
