Workshop Opportunity: Transformation of the 12 Senses to support free thinking

Thursday May 15, 7.30pm AEST on Zoom

Booking: https://events.humanitix.com/the-12-senses/tickets

Sophia Montefiore, who teaches & mentors several aspects of the high school curriculum, is for this presentation, working with the Transformation of the 12 Senses to support free thinking. May I suggest this as useful for staff to attend also, or at least register, so they are able to listen on a weekend perhaps, rather than a weeknight with school the next day. The 12 senses are unique to Steiner’s picturing of the human being, & Sophia will be showing how in her words, “the Steiner Curriculum brings a health-giving consciousness to support the human journey through birth to adulthood. Individual free thought, discernment, and independence are nurtured by subtle transformations of sense-life experiences. Join us in exploring the way Steiner Main Lessons work with the 12 senses to harmonise the developing inner life of our young people.”  Developing these capacities is more necessary than ever given global uncertainties & adversarial forces whose own subtleties will need increasingly to be recognised by young people to find a wholesome way forward to unfold their destinies.

Acknowledgment of Traditional landowners

We would like to acknowledge and give respect to the Awaba Custodians past, present and emerging who care for the land, waterways, skyways, animals, and people of the area in which we learn and play. We would like to honour the spiritual guidance and the depth of understanding within the story-telling traditions and interactions with Country of all First Nations peoples. Within Muloobinba Waldorf Minamba, we acknowledge that our community are on Lands that were never ceded and openly accept our responsibility to walk in truthful songlines for a connected future.
