A wonderful evening at the 2026 Outdoor Education Australia Industry Awards offered a moment to celebrate the care, skill and shared commitment behind outdoor education at our school.
We were delighted that Amy, our Outdoor Education Coordinator, received a Judges’ Commendation in the Outdoor Education Practitioner of the Year Award, while Newcastle Waldorf School’s Outdoor Education Program was recognised with the Exemplary Program Award.
Amy designs and leads programs that bring outdoor skills, curriculum learning and genuine wellbeing together. Grounded in experiential learning and Steiner education, these experiences invite young people to build resilience, find their footing and develop a real sense of responsibility for the world around them.
