A sincere thank you to our families and community for participating so graciously in our NAIDOC celebrations on 11 November. It was a day of depth, beauty and connection.
We shared the gift of patience and presence as each person waited to receive their ochre painting, an important ceremony generously shared by Jessica Wegener, Ngiyampaa Mayi. Music and language from Larrakia Country accompanied the day, alongside the joy of dancing together to the little messenger bird song, a legacy shared with our school from Ngiyampaa Country.
There was strength in the space we held together and pride in our students as they connected with Elders, painted leaves and listened to story. Eurythmy was shared alongside personal experiences and reflections, creating a bridge between cultural learning and Waldorf education.
